In Buddhist philosophy, "Right Action" is one of the important components of the Eightfold Path, which refers to the correctness or morality of behavior.
"Right action" places special emphasis on avoiding harm through actions. It covers the following three main aspects:
-
Nonviolence: This is the avoidance of intentionally killing or harming any living thing and reflects compassion and respect for all living things.
-
Don’t steal: Avoid taking things that don’t belong to you, and emphasize honesty and fairness.
-
Abstinence: Avoiding immoral or harmful sexual behavior and promoting respect and responsibility in relationships with others.
The practice of righteousness not only contributes to personal moral and spiritual development, but also contributes to the maintenance of social harmony and justice.
