About Us
We are in the San Francisco Bay Area. We teamed up with Master Su Chen to launch this unique series of works, Silent Zen Bodhi (SZB).
For the first time, we see someone using word art to express the wisdom of philosophy.
In this series of works, Su Chen uses Sanskrit from ancient India, seal script from ancient China, and modern English to explain 500 terms in Buddhist philosophy.
This series gives all of us a new lens through which to view every moment of our lives.
Everyone can get their own "reflection" from such calm observation and thus enter another spiritual realm.
The word "Zen" itself derives from the Chinese "Chan," which in turn comes from the Sanskrit "dhyāna," meaning "meditation" or "meditative state." Zen's approach to spirituality is unique in its insistence on awakening here and now, without reliance on texts, rituals, or external authorities. Its emphasis on mindfulness, direct experience, and living each moment fully aligns with many contemporary spiritual quests and psychological practices, making Zen a profoundly influential path within and beyond Buddhism.
"Bodhi" is a Sanskrit and Pali term that translates to "awakening" or "enlightenment." Bodhi is the understanding or insight into the true nature of reality that leads to liberation from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara).
